Thank you so much for your interest in attending the Community Forum: How Should We Prioritize Our Future Capital Investments? We understand many community members view this forum as an important opportunity to come together around the development of the Capital Improvement Plan. To ensure the health and safety of our community, Arlington County has recently issued Guidance for Public Meetings and Gatherings to Mitigate and Contain the Spread of COVID-19. In alignment with this guidance, we will need to cancel this gathering at this point in time.
We appreciate your willingness to participate in the important conversations on the County’s future capital investments. For now, there are still several ways to give your input on the development of the Capital Improvement Plan FY 2021 – FY 2030 (CIP). An online engagement is currently accepting feedback in both English and Spanish through the end of April. We also have several stations set up around the county where paper questionnaires may be filled out and dropped off.
A few notes about the CIP Process:
- Once the County Manager has delivered his proposed CIP in May, the County Board will host a series of work sessions to learn more about the specifics of the CIP proposals, all of which will be open to the public and streamed online.
- On June 30, 2020, the Board will host a public hearing to receive community feedback as it considers the Manager’s CIP proposal.
- We welcome you to use any or all of these opportunities for feedback as the CIP works its way to final adoption in July, 2020.
